Moving to a new home is stressful for kids because they are uprooted from their familiar surroundings and have to leave behind their friends and go to a strange place. Sudden disruption to their routine also adds to the stress. Here are some tips which help in making the moving process less stressful for kids.

Involve the children in the pre-moving process

The children should become a part of the various steps prior to moving. Take the opinions of your children regarding various aspects of the new home such as the colour of the walls of the living room or their own room.
